Welcome to Hervé and Marie-Odile’s home! They’ll welcome you to this splendid, brand-new, high-end Chalet!
Quality—and nothing but quality—at every turn! The icing on the cake: a hanging hammock where you can relax with a good book…which your little ones will turn into a mini-trampoline to their great delight.
The owners will take great care of you and will be delighted to share their passion for the region. Lake Aydat, located just a few minutes away by car, is an iconic spot in the department that you absolutely must discover (or rediscover)!
The holiday cottage is laid out as follows on the ground floor (accessible to people with reduced mobility only on the ground floor):
- a living room with a magnificent wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen
- a bedroom with a comfortable 160-cm bed
- a bathroom with a shower and toilet
- a laundry room (accessible from outside)
On the first floor:
- a superb mezzanine with its famous hammock!

Outside, a lovely terrace awaits you for wonderful summer evenings spent putting the world to rights.
Since Marie-Odile and Hervé aren’t the type to skimp on amenities, you’ll feel like you’re living the high life at the Gîte des Bruyères!
Small dogs may be accepted upon request by the owners.
The holiday cottage is located near a house that includes the owners’ two other holiday cottages, for a total capacity of 12 people. However, rest assured: the property (fully enclosed and secured by an electric gate) is huge (over 3,000 m²), so everyone’s peace and quiet is guaranteed!

b Un séjour au coeur des volcans d'Auvergne
Nous venons de passer un séjour de 7 jours inoubliable au Chalet des Bruyères à Aydat. Le chalet est superbe et très récent, avec une décoration soignée et un équipement parfait qui ont grandement contribué à notre confort. L'intérieur de 90 m² est spacieux et bien agencé, offrant un cadre idéal pour un moment de repos au cœur des montagnes. Un filet installé au niveau du salon de l'étage permet aux enfants de s'amuser en toute sécurité, en se transformant en un trampoline improvisé qui a fait leur bonheur.
L'extérieur n'est pas en reste, avec une belle terrasse et une plancha qui nous ont permis de passer des soirées agréables à profiter de la nature environnante. Les moments passés à l'extérieur étaient tout aussi plaisants que ceux à l'intérieur, et nous avons vraiment pu nous détendre et nous ressourcer.
Un grand merci à Monsieur et Madame Moulin, qui ont été aux petits soins pour rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable. Leur accueil chaleureux et leurs petites attentions, comme les délicieux légumes du jardin offerts pendant le séjour et le fromage local offert à notre départ, ont vraiment fait la différence. Nous recommandons vivement le Chalet des Bruyères à quiconque souhaite passer un séjour reposant et agréable au cœur des Volcans.
