Old farmhouse with modern comforts

At the foot of the motte castrale of Varennes, this Holiday cottage is a veritable belvedere overlooking Lake Chambon and the Chaudefour Valley. The name of the Holiday cottage comes from the owner's local roots, but also from the fact that it's an old farmhouse built in the hills above the village of Varennes at a time when French was not yet the common language.
The BELAGAITA Holiday cottage is a farmhouse with all contemporary comforts and a warm, welcoming interior on the second floor.

The Holiday cottage comprises :

- a living room
- a bedroom with a 160cm bed
- a bedroom with two 90cm beds
- a bathroom with a large walk-in shower
- a laundry room
- an independent toilet

To take full advantage of the view and the peace and quiet, simply open the large 52m² wooden terrace and the whole green valley opens up before you, from Lake Chambon to Puy de Sancy, passing through the plains of Varennes and Voissières, the village of Chambon sur Lake and the majestic and picturesque Chaudefour Valley. There's a small paved terrace, surrounded by a dry stone wall, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll. The BELAGAITA belvedere is the ideal spot for Hiking around the lakes, on the slopes of the Sancy massif and volcanoes. The beaches of Lake Chambon and Murol Castle are less than 5 minutes away, and the Motte Castrale de Varennes overlooks the Holiday cottage. In winter, snow-covered landscapes and the possibility of skiing on the slopes of Super-Besse, Chastreix or Le Mont-Dore less than 1/2 h away, or the old slopes of Chambon des Neiges for tobogganing or ski touring.
