This peaceful character house is ideally located for exploring the heart of the Rhône-Alpes region: at the crossroads of the Ardèche, Rhône and Isère departments. For nature lovers and hikers, there are several signposted footpaths at the foot of the Holiday cottage to help you discover the richness of this region. Jocelyne and Lionel open the doors to their spacious, functional accommodation. Sit out on the terrace in the shady, flower-filled courtyard and enjoy a breath of fresh air: admiring the scenery, listening to the river and the birds.
Holiday cottage of 130m² on the first floor, comprising a simple, fully-equipped kitchen, a large living room and a lovely, bright veranda with dining room. The two bedrooms are equipped with two single beds (130 and 140). The bathroom has a bath and shower, and the WC is independent. To make your stay a pleasant one, utilities and heating are included, electric radiators plus wood stove, bed linen optional. The veranda is not heated in winter, so the room stays cool.
Parking access limited to one normal-sized vehicle near the Holiday cottage (excluding lorries or vans).

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au gîte des Cigales. Le cadre est exceptionnel et le gîte est très joli, confortable et agréable.
Un vrai plus pour nous : avoir pu venir avec notre chien, ce qui est suffisamment rare pour être souligné !

Un séjour dans un village médiéval, quelle merveilleuse expérience !
La maison est unique ; on ne se lasse jamais des détails. La terrasse ombragée est charmante ; nous y avons passé le plus de temps possible. Des chaises de jardin confortables auraient donc été appréciables.
Malleval est un village formidable, et son excellent restaurant est un atout majeur.
Dommage que notre grosse voiture ait rendu le stationnement difficile près de la maison et que nous ayons dû nous garer sur un parking plus éloigné. Malgré cela, nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec nos chiens.

Stayed with my husband and our dog. It was very dog-friendly, a great base from which to explore the region, and we loved both the setting and the old world atmosphere with modern conveniences. Jocelyn and Lionel were welcoming hosts. The only caution is that we had rented a very large car to accommodate our dog's crate, and that made on-site parking a challenge, despite the nicely sized space that is there. Luckily there was an easy work around that just required a short walk. I would definitely recommend this site.
