The Ancienne École du Villard served as an elementary school until the early 1960s in the rural hamlet of Villard.
Our house is located just a few minutes from the village center, the Cirque de St Même, and the Planolet ski area.
The school is now a charming bed and breakfast featuring 5 comfortable rooms with private bathrooms (located on the landing or inside the room). A 1,900 m² garden with trees.
Numerous outdoor activities are available year-round: Alpine skiing or cross-country skiing, hiking, trail running, paragliding, canyoning, rock climbing, fishing, and swimming at the or at Lake Aiguebelette... Nearby: Caves, the Grande Chartreuse Museum, a wellbeing center, a recreational center...

The rooms can accommodate 2 people. They are located on the 1st and 2nd floors, with private bathrooms either in the room or on the landing. Breakfast and meals are served, depending on the season, on the terrace with its panoramic view of the Mountains or by the fireplace. The ideal spot for hikers, cyclists, winter sports enthusiasts, and motorcyclists! You’ll have access to a lounge area with board games and a library, Wi-Fi, and private parking, as well as a ski and bike storage room.
Table d’hôtes (€28.50 per person) and packed lunches (€8.50 per person) available by reservation. Minimum two-night stay. Dogs not allowed.
