Facing the Dômes de Miage, 300m from the ski lifts and 800m from the village center. 73m2 Holiday cottage in a renovated character farmhouse, including 1 other cottage and 2 owners' apartments. Independent access via terrace (1 step). Kitchen opening onto living room. Bedroom 1 (1 bed 140), bedroom 2 dormitory (2 beds 90 and 2 beds 90 high). Bathroom, shower room, 2 separate WCs. Bed linen and towels provided, beds made. Nice wooden terrace with garden furniture and plancha, private parking (2 cars). 6-pair shoe dryer in entrance hall. 120km of ski runs, Cross-country skiing, ice rink, snowshoeing.     Great location shame about the WiFi and shower

    We really like the location, a sort walk to the edge of town and walking to the Hamlet Du Lay gondola was possible although we preferred to drive to the Gorge. In snowy conditions winter tyres and/or snow chains are essential to get to and from the property as the access road is steep and narrow.

    The apartment is on the ground floor of a converted farmhouse with a nice view although the interior is quite dark as there is only one window into the main living area/kitchen. Due to it being a conversion there are some compromises, the main toilet is quite far from the double bedroom and the basin. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses, pans etc, a good size oven and a large fridge so we were able to cook our own meals easily.

    There is a large entrance hall with space for skis and a boot warmer, a great space to change footwear. There's 5 seats on the sofa and a stool, as well as a large table which can accommodate 6 people comfortably although one chair is about to fall apart.

    WiFi is advertised but is not fit for purpose, it's in a different part of the building with a very inconsistent signal and when connected was very slow, we used our data most of the time.

    There was an issue with the shower thermostat which we reported to the owner by WhatsApp on the Sunday (we arrived on the Saturday). Initially she tried to say it was how we used it, eventually someone came to fix it but it still didn't work. We were without the use of the shower until a plumber replaced the thermostat control on the Thursday. It was a quick job and should have been sorted out earlier. There was a bath we could use and we always had plenty of hot water.

    Communication with the hosts was minimal. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than originally planned and after multiple failed phone calls we had to wait around in the cold until the time we originally planned. The owners live above the apartment. Other communication was through WhatsApp.

    We are delighted that you liked our cottage and its location. Indeed, in our department, it snows regularly in winter, so it is mandatory to be equipped with snow tires or chains to travel on the roads. For your arrival, as indicated in the contract, entry to the cottage is not before 4 p.m. We regret that the cold, which is a component of winter, disrupted your arrival. We are fortunate to have an old farmhouse dating from 1731 and which is a listed building, we cannot under any circumstances create additional openings that would distort the architectural ensemble. For your information, regarding the interior design, the toilets are 5 m from the bedroom! Since January, fiber has been installed and the Wi-Fi works well. The shower problem, which worked well before your arrival, was resolved within the week. We are fortunate to have craftsmen who help us out as quickly as possible. You also had a bathroom available with a bathtub and 1 sink as well as another sink adjoining the dormitory. Cleaning is not included in the price; we were disappointed that you left the apartment in such a dismal state. We live next door to the cottage and we both work, which reduces communication during your stay. In this case, WhatsApp is a great way to communicate and allows us to always be available to our guests to make their stay enjoyable.
