In the heart of the hamlet of Vallon d'en Haut—a 48-square-meter detached holiday cottage located on the first floor of a Chalet-style house that also includes the owners’ garage on the ground floor. Access to the holiday cottage via an outdoor staircase.
Open-concept kitchen opening onto the living room (TV, sofa), bedroom (1 bed, 140x190 cm), and bathroom with shower and toilet.
South-facing balcony-terrace with garden furniture and lounge chairs. Wifi Internet. Bed linen provided (beds made on arrival), and bathroom linen is provided. Parking on the property. Shuttle stop in winter and summer 130m away. Ski storage room and space available for bike storage.
Accessible grounds surrounding the holiday cottage with garden furniture in summer. Grand Massif Express gondola 3.2 km away. Downtown Samoëns (shops, Ice rink, botanical garden) 2.5 km away.
Numerous hiking trails nearby or in the Fer-A-Cheval Nature Reserve, 10 km away. Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is a 1-hour drive away.

Quatrième séjour aux Embrunes, cette fois en fin de printemps. Le gîte est toujours aussi confortable, très bien conçu, donnant une belle impression d'espace. La terrasse à l’ombre est bien agréable lorsqu’il fait chaud. L’endroit est calme. L'accueil est, comme chaque fois, chaleureux. Les propriétaires connaissent très bien la région et nous en ont fait volontiers profiter. Vallon-d'en-Haut est un peu à l'écart de Samoëns et conserve son caractère rural, ce qui évite l'effervescence de la localité. Nous continuerons à revenir avec grand plaisir! Un grand merci.

Johan First floor gite in rural area
This first floor gite is a bit outside Samoens direction Sixt.
The area is very quiet, and cows rather than cars fill the street at times.
There is a very efficient anti-fly screen on most windows, and at the door to the balcony, so that not a single fly visited us!
Whenever you see cows nearby the flies are close too.
The gite is newish, has a good lay out, and has windows on all sides.
The little covered balcony is a gem! We had a very pleasant stay, and we will come back for sure!- Cleanliness
