Montcalm

Just 2 hours from Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, and an hour from St Etienne, lies the village of Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille. It is in a hamlet of this village, crossed by Stevenson's path, that the "Montcalm" gîte is located! René and Myriam, the owners, ran a chambre d'hôtes for 7 years, which they have now converted into a gîte! Inside, everything is designed for your comfort: a fully-equipped living room/kitchen and two bedrooms, each with its own shower room and separate toilet! Outside, everything is designed for your comfort: flowered areas, shaded areas... Locally: all shops in Monastier-sur-Gazeille, the school museum, the museum of popular beliefs, the brass festival (in August every year)... A little further afield: Cascade de la Beaume, Lac d'Issarlès, Château de Bouzol, Plateau du Mezenc... A little further afield: discover Le Puy-en-Velay and its many UNESCO World Heritage sites, the town of Brioude and its famous abbey. Rates are all-inclusive: cleaning, utilities, bed linen and towels;

The "montclm" gîte is set in the former barn of this farmhouse, in fully enclosed grounds of approx. 1500m², adjoining the owners' house.
Entrance to the gîte is via the living room with kitchen and sitting area.
On the same level, you'll find two bedrooms with private bathrooms.
