1H30 from Clermont Ferrand and Lyon, in the heart of Le Puy en Velay city center, at the foot of the cathedral known as the starting point of the St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrimage route, you'll find the Holiday cottage "A l'ombre du Laurier". On the first floor of an old building, Monsieur Nicaud welcomes you for a remarkable "timeless" experience. The apartment is a veritable cocoon, combining respect for old stones and comfort. The undeniable asset of this Holiday cottage is its surprisingly enclosed courtyard, full of flowers and pleasantly furnished under a World Heritage-listed Laurier tree. Here, you'll enjoy a place of peace and quiet, where you can dine, read and dream in the shade of this remarkable tree. Locally: you can visit the many monuments of the City of Le Puy en Velay, stroll through the remarkable Saturday Market, and enjoy the proximity of all amenities. Nearby: discover the village of Polignac, the "Bois des Seigneurs" or the "Pinatelle du Zouve". A little further afield: discover the many nuggets of the Haute-Loire: the Haut plateau du Mezenc, the gorges of the young Loire or the Allier, the City of Brioude and its remarkable basilica. Services included: bed linen and towels Parking in the City center at an additional cost. Cleaning is optional at €50/stay. For the heating of the Holiday cottage you have 15 Kwh per day (the excess will be paid on the spot to the hosts).

The gîte is located on one of the most beautiful cobbled streets in the old town.
The entrance to the accommodation is through the living room, which opens onto the inner courtyard and features a magnificent period fireplace (not functional).
Adjacent to the living room and also opening onto the outside, the kitchen is small but perfectly equipped: hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher and everything else you need for cooking.

To the rear of the kitchen is the bedroom with shower room and WC.

If necessary, and for your convenience, Mr Nicaud can arrange parking close to the gîte.
The all-inclusive price includes: bed linen and towels for the stay, end-of-stay cleaning (excluding dishes and rubbish), heating and electricity with reasonable consumption - if the gîte is heated electrically, you will be charged 15 Kwh per day (any excess will be paid on site to the hosts).
