L'Oeil de Vert

1H30 from Lyon, and 2h from Clermont-Ferrand, close to major roads but in the heart of the countryside, lies the village of Lapte. The Gîte L'oeil de Vert is located in a peaceful hamlet of this village, surrounded by nature and forests. Francine and Julien, the owners, have done a remarkable job, both on the shell, with the creation of a porthole offering an extraordinary view of the forest, and on the incredible finishing details. Once you step inside, you won't want to leave, as everything has been thought out with your comfort in mind: quality fittings, spacious rooms and a decor that perfectly blends "industrial" and "country chic" styles! Whether with family or friends, don't hesitate to come and spend a few days here - it's undoubtedly the ideal place for creating wonderful memories. On site: For book lovers, the gîte has a well-stocked library; for sports enthusiasts, there's a pétanque court on site and numerous hiking trails starting from the gîte; and for mushroom pickers, there's quick access to the forest. The picturesque village of Lapte doesn't go unnoticed; the local granite houses surround the church whose famous bell tower, the 54-meter-high Balcon du Velay, built on a hill, dominates the surrounding area. The village has a number of essential shops: grocery, butcher, baker, cellar... A little further afield: Let's set off to discover the whole of the Haute-Loire region, with its famous town of Le Puy-en-Velay and its many UNESCO World Heritage buildings, the high plateaux of the Mezenc and the Allier gorges... our département is bursting with a thousand nuggets to discover! Not forgetting France's largest Himalayan footbridge linking Grazac to Saint Maurice de LIgnon (8 minutes from the gîte). For your comfort, electricity, bed and bath linen and cleaning are included in the price. Outside summer and Christmas vacations, weekends are possible, with arrival on Friday evening and departure on Sunday at the end of the day.

The Holiday cottage is attached to the owners' house but has its own access to the grounds. However, Francine and Julien offer you the possibility of taking advantage of the facilities created for their kids: Cabin trailer, soccer cage, etc...

Entrance is via a hall leading to the main living area, featuring a comfortable kitchen with a large dining table, and a sitting area organized around the porthole and offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding Countryside.

To complete the ground floor: a bedroom with a 160cm bed, a shower room and a toilet.

The second floor features a relaxation area with a hanging net above a mezzanine, two bedrooms with 160cm beds, a dormitory with 4 90cm beds and two 90cm bunk beds, a shower room and a separate toilet.

Following a number of outbursts, all parties are now forbidden. Neighbors' peace and quiet is a priority before any rental.

The all-inclusive price includes: bed linen and towels for the stay, end-of-stay cleaning (excluding dishes and rubbish), heating and electricity with reasonable consumption - if the gîte is heated electrically, you have 15 Kwh per day (any excess must be paid on site to the hosts).
