Carefully and completely renovated, this building has retained its original character thanks to the preservation of its stonework, open spaces, and elements characteristic of the local architecture. Designed for family vacations, get-togethers with friends, or multi-generational gatherings, the holiday cottage can accommodate up to 15 people in a quiet and unspoiled setting. Outside, everyone can find their own rhythm between the sun-drenched cobblestone terrace, the shaded terrace—particularly appreciated on summer days—and the Nordic hot tub, available free of charge. The enclosed grounds also allow kids to fully enjoy the property in complete peace of mind. Certified as an “Écogîte” and “Tourism and Handicap,” L’Estaou is the result of a family project carried out with passion to preserve a rural heritage emblematic of southern Auvergne. Surrounded by the Loire Gorges, volcanic landscapes, the neighboring Ardèche, and numerous hiking trails, the holiday cottage serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the region’s natural and cultural treasures. For groups seeking additional space, a large 70 m² room is available as an optional add-on (100 € per week). Ideal for sharing meals, organizing activities, or enjoying time together in any season, it’s a real asset for reunions with family or friends. A detached house, a former family farm dating from 1882, carefully restored to preserve its original character, set on a fenced-in lot of 600 m². Nearby: Arlempdes, 2 km away, listed among the “Most Beautiful Villages of France,” with its medieval castle overlooking the Loire Gorges, its castle chapel, and its narrow streets steeped in history. Pradelles, 16 km away, a “Petite Cité de Caractère,” renowned for its medieval heritage, its rail bike, its Draft Horse Museum, and as the starting point for the Stevenson Trail (GR70). Nature lovers can enjoy the many hiking trails, the Loire Gorges, the volcanic landscapes of southern Auvergne, as well as outdoor activities such as mountain biking, Fishing, Swimming, Canoeing, and Water sports at Lake Bouchet (20 km) or Lake Naussac (25 km). Committed to sustainable tourism that is accessible to as many people as possible, this property has been awarded the Écogîte and Tourism and Handicap certifications. This renovated former family farm features spacious rooms and a layout well-suited for group stays. The house features a large, inviting living area, six bedrooms spread over two floors, three bathrooms, and two separate restrooms.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a large living area with an open kitchen and a sitting area (TV), a bedroom with two 140 cm beds, a second bedroom with a 160 cm bed and a child’s bed, as well as a bathroom and a separate toilet.
Upstairs, the holiday cottage offers four additional bedrooms with five 140 cm beds and two 90 cm beds. This level also features a bathroom with a bathtub and shower, a shower room, and a separate toilet.
On sunny days, everyone can find their own space between the two terraces and the fenced-in yard. The wood-heated Nordic hot tub, which can accommodate 8 to 10 people, is a particularly popular feature for relaxing after a day of exploring or hiking.
For groups wishing to have additional space, a 70 m² reception room is available as an optional extra (100 € per week). This space is ideal for meals, activities, or social gatherings.
To ensure a comfortable stay, all bedrooms and bathrooms are equipped with mosquito nets. Baby gear available: Umbrella bed, high chair, baby bathtub, and child-safe tableware. Pet welcome: an additional fee of 30 € per stay applies. Additional services are available for rent: bed linens (€15 per bed), bath towels (€15 per person), and table linens (€15 per stay).

End-of-stay cleaning is included in the rate. However, the holiday cottage must be left tidy, with trash taken out, the dishwasher emptied, linens gathered together, and the bathrooms left in a reasonably clean condition. Heating and electricity are also included, subject to reasonable and moderate use.

A Nordic bath was installed in March 2026 (6 to 8 people).
