Les Tilleuls

1h30 from Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, 5 minutes from the center of Le Puy-Velay on sunny hillsides, in Aiguilhe, lies "Les Tilleuls". Cathy opens the doors of the outbuilding of her house that she has renovated to welcome you for a stay to discover the Ponote city! Situated on the ground floor of the owner's home, the gîte has been efficiently and comfortably fitted out: you'll find everything you need (coffee maker, crockery, food processor, iron and ironing board and basic necessities). The living spaces are bright and well decorated, with antique furniture combined with more modern materials to give this gîte a "country house" feel. On site, you can take advantage of the peaceful surroundings and swimming pool in fine weather, or hike the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Nearby: discover La Chapelle St Michel d'Aiguilhe perched on a Dyke (volcanic chimney), the town of Le Puy en Velay, with its many events and Unesco World Heritage buildings, the village of Polignac, La Chaise Dieu and its festival 40kms away. The location is ideal for exploring the whole of the Haute-Loire: Brivadois, Gévaudan, the Allier and Loire gorges, the Mézenc plateau - the landscapes of the Haute-Loire are sure to delight you!

Situated on Cathy's vast property, this house benefits from a private garden so that everyone's privacy can be preserved! However, in fine weather, you'll have access to the owner's swimming pool (secure but not heated). You can also park your car on the property. (Access is quite steep, however).
The entrance to the house opens onto the fully-equipped kitchen, followed by a light-filled dining room opening onto a veranda that's a delight when the sun comes out. A sitting area completes the living space, with sofa, armchair and flat-screen TV. There's also a bedroom with a 140cm bed, a large closet and a chest of drawers. Rates include bed linen, towels, utilities and cleaning.
