The hamlet of Bilhac is nestled in the medieval village of Polignac, 1 hour and 30 minutes from Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand. In this rural setting, just 10 minutes from Le Puy-en-Velay, Marie-Thé and Christian have restored an old volcanic stone building to create the Les Papillons holiday cottage. Here, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable vacation with family or friends: a fully enclosed, flower-filled outdoor area and a spacious, modern interior decorated with care. As for amenities, nothing is missing: a fully equipped kitchen, a dedicated baby’s room, board games, a garage… everything has been thoughtfully designed so you can fully enjoy your stay. On-site, enjoy numerous walking and biking trails, as well as a public pétanque court located just a few steps from the holiday cottage, to make your stay even more enjoyable. Just a few minutes away, discover the village of Polignac and its famous fortress, as well as the Bois des Seigneurs and its legends. A little further away, let yourself be charmed by the city of Le Puy-en-Velay—several of whose monuments are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites—the Loire and Allier gorges, and the Mézenc Plateau, offering magnificent panoramic views between the Haute-Loire and Ardèche regions.

Outside, you’ll enjoy a fully enclosed 121 m² courtyard with a gravel surface, as well as a patio accessible directly from the living room—perfect for dining or relaxing. On the ground floor, the house features a closed garage that can accommodate one vehicle, as well as a laundry room with a toilet. On the first floor, you’ll find a spacious, bright living area comprising a large open kitchen, a dining area, and a TV lounge. The sleeping area consists of two bedrooms, each equipped with a double bed (140×190 cm), a third bedroom with two single beds (90×190 cm), and a study furnished with a full-size baby bed and changing table. A bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet complete the layout. To ensure a stress-free stay, rates include utilities, bed linens, bath towels, household linens, and end-of-stay cleaning. The holiday cottage also has Wi-Fi access.

The all-inclusive price includes: bed linen and towels for the stay, end-of-stay cleaning (excluding crockery and rubbish), heating and electricity with reasonable consumption - if the gîte is heated electrically, you will have 15 Kwh per day (any excess will be paid on site to the hosts).
