Located about 2 hours from Lyon and Clermont, and 4 hours from Montpellier, in a peaceful hamlet on the hills above Monastier-sur-Gazeille, Sara and David welcome you to the Gîte des Hautes Prairies. This cottage is ideal for a vacation in a pristine setting perfect for relaxation and exploration. Housed in an outbuilding of the owners’ residence, this holiday cottage for 4 people combines comfort and authenticity. You’ll appreciate its tasteful decor, its warm atmosphere, and its high-quality amenities designed for your well-being. It’s the perfect place to recharge, enjoy the surrounding nature, and explore the volcanic landscapes of the Haute-Loire, the hiking trails (including the Stevenson Trail and the Trancevenol), and the heritage of the Mézenc Plateau. All shops and services are located in the village of Monastier-sur-Gazeille, about a 5-minute drive away: a bakery, newsstand, supermarkets, grocery stores, bookstore, Pharmacy, medical center, and 3 Museums you won’t want to miss.

The holiday cottage is accessed via several outdoor steps. There are also 3 steps between the first bedroom and the living room. The second bedroom is on the same level as the living room.

It consists of an entryway with storage, a living room with an open kitchen (fully equipped), a first double bedroom with a 140-cm bed, and a second bedroom with two 90-cm beds that can be pushed together to form a 180-cm bed (with a mattress topper for added comfort) and a baby bed, a utility area with a washing machine, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet.

The property is unfenced, with parking and several landscaped relaxation areas.

Pets are allowed, limited to 2 per stay.

All inclusive rates: bed linens and towels, utilities, and end-of-stay cleaning (the holiday cottage must be left in a clean condition: dishes put away, trash emptied, and bathrooms rinsed down)

For the summer of 2026, the exterior of the holiday cottage is currently being finished; this factor is taken into account in the rates for that season.
