Le tranquilou

1h45 from Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, 3h from Montpellier, lies the picturesque village of Saint Privat d'Allier. It's in the hamlet of Pratclaux that Aurélie and Anthony open the doors of their Holiday cottage "Le tranquilou". This old farmhouse in the heart of the Allier valley has just been completely renovated to make an authentic and comfortable vacation home, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house's magnificent terrace offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The extensive grounds are ideal for outdoor play. Nearby activities: numerous walks (the GR65 passes nearby), visit to the Rochegude tower (built in the 13th century), fishing in the Allier, Swimming or white-water sports at the Monistrol d'Allier Beach (2km). A little further afield: discover the magnificent villages of the Allier Valley (Prades, Saint Julien des Chazes, Lavoûte-Chilhac , Sainte Ilpize, etc), visit the unmissable City of Le Puy-en-Velay and its many UNESCO World Heritage monuments, Lake du Bouchet, Saugues with its legendary Beast of Gévaudan or the pretty City of Brioude... The Holiday cottage has no internet access, but 4G coverage is excellent. For your comfort, Aurélie and Anthony provide bed linen. Optional: Bath linen: 7€ per person Heating: 10€ per day if used. Cleaning is "included", but you'll need to tidy up the Holiday cottage, empty the garbage cans and dishwasher, rinse the tables and bathrooms and sweep up on departure. (Cleaning deposit of 80€ to be paid on arrival).

The house sits on a large plot, with parking, grassed area, and possible carport (under the terrace).
The living part of the house is on the second floor, gently sloping up the former barn access (although not recommended for wheelchair users, it is possible for people with motor difficulties if accompanied).
Entrance is via a hallway leading to the living room, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen (complete cookware set, electric oven, microwave oven, Senseo and filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, blender, raclette machine, plancha, etc.) and a TV lounge with library and board games. A small laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and WC completes the day area.
The night area, on the same level, comprises 3 bedrooms (1 with a 140cm bed, the other 2 with a 140cm bed and 2 90cm bunk beds), a shower room with walk-in shower, toilet and double vanity unit, and a second shower room with walk-in shower and vanity unit.
