Le Tourtet

The village of Alleyras lies to the south of the Haute-Loire, on the border with the Lozère. In the small hamlet of Pourcheresse, overlooking the Gorges du Haut-Allier, you'll find Joëlle and Alain's gîte: "Le Tourtet". Renovated in a traditional style, this stone house is ideal for families and friends. You'll appreciate the peaceful surroundings, the surrounding countryside and the magnificent view of Mont Devès. There's a courtyard with a pergola for convivial meals on the terrace, and a ping-pong table to entertain young and old alike. From the gîte: numerous hiking trails, including the GR470 which passes through Pourcheresse, the town of Alleyras with its grocery store, restaurant, drinks and ice-cream stands and weekly market in July/August, mountain bike circuits, Vélo Rail, horse riding, a river for fishing enthusiasts, white-water sports (canoeing, rafting, etc.) and swimming, etc. A little further afield: St-Jean-Lachalm (beer and lentil farm, via ferrata), Monistrol-d'Allier (chapels of la Madeleine and Rochegude), Saugues (Tour des Anglais, Musée de la Bête du Gévaudan, ecological lake), the landscapes of the Gorges du Haut-Allier, the town of Le Puy-en-Velay with its UNESCO World Heritage monuments, Mont Mouchet, etc. All shops and services in Saugues.

On the first floor of the Holiday cottage, you'll find the fully-equipped kitchen opening onto the dining table and living area (wood-burning stove, flat-screen TV, corner sofa), a shower room and WC complete this level.
The 1st floor features 3 bedrooms (5 single beds and 1 double bed) and a shower room/WC.
Finally, on the 2nd and top floor with attic space, you'll find 4 single beds, a reading area with convertible sofa (2 pers.) and a shower room/WC.

Baby equipment: Umbrella bed and high chair.

Electricity and heating (Geothermal heating) are included in the price ONLY FROM MAY TO AUGUST. (For the rest of the year, from April to September, a heating charge will be applied, payable directly to the owners).
