2 hours from Clermont-Ferrand and 1h30 from Lyon, in a quiet hamlet of Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, in the heart of the woods, François opens the doors of his Holiday cottage "Le Chat qui Dort", inviting you to a timeless interlude. This solid wood house, built entirely from local trees, seems to have come straight out of Canada's boreal forests. It comfortably accommodates up to 4 people in a warm atmosphere, lulled by the crackling of the wood-burning stove and the natural scents of cedar wood. Inside, you'll enjoy modern comforts and modular rooms, adaptable to everyone's needs: group of friends, couple or family, everyone will find the ideal configuration. Outside, the Forest surrounds you, offering an ideal playground for nature lovers: Hiking or mountain biking, mushroom picking in season, snowshoeing in winter... The Haut-Lignon plateau is also renowned for its undulating landscapes, its rivers ideal for Fishing, and its many signposted itineraries. The village of Le Chambon-sur-Lignon, just a few minutes away, offers markets, local crafts, Museums and an 18-hole golf course. The Holiday cottage is located in a small hamlet on the edge of the woods, on a vast property known as "Les gîtes en bois du Lignon", comprising 4 Holiday cottages and 2 dwellings spaced out and not overlooked.
Le Chat qui dort is located on the edge of the forest, with private parking for several vehicles.
On the grounds, you'll enjoy an outdoor fireplace and a beautiful wooden table for al fresco cooking!
A sheltered wooden terrace, accessible by 2 steps, is located just in front of the house.
The entrance to the house opens onto the living area: equipped kitchen, dining table and lounge area are organized around the small wood-burning stove, which is extremely efficient at heating the whole household!
Two double bedrooms complete the house, each with its own washbasin, but sharing an Italian shower equipped with a hot-air auxiliary heater. The bedding is new and comfortable, with two possible configurations: either two separate 80x200 beds, or a king-size 160x200 bed.

Please note: the house is heated solely by the wood-burning stove, which is very efficient but requires regular replenishment.
The insulation provided by this solid wood construction is remarkable.
