La Maison de Rosalie

In a hamlet some twenty minutes from Le Puy-en-Velay, André and Huguette welcome you to their childhood home. This tastefully restored old farmhouse is the ideal place for a vacation close to nature. The house is pleasant to live in, with its meticulous interior layout, its living room opening onto a terrace (9 m²) and the large, grassy, flower-filled, unenclosed courtyard (400 m²). In the picturesque gorges de la Loire, on the GR3, you'll admire the magnificent landscapes of a countryside that opens onto the mountains of Mezenc du Meygal and Margeride in the distance. Nearby: Goudet 4 km, Arlempdes 7 km (the Loire, medieval village, castle remains), Costaros 6 km (shops, services, weekly Monday morning market), Cascade de la Beaume and Lac du Bouchet 15 mn, Le Monastier 30 mn (abbey church, museum of popular beliefs, brass festival), horses and horse-riding 800m from the gîte.

First floor: living room with TV and wood-burning stove, level access to the grounds. 2 steps: laundry room (washing machine), wc.

1st floor: mezzanine kitchen overlooks the living room and opens onto the south-facing terrace (table, 4 garden chairs, parasol).

2nd floor: 1 bedroom (1 x 140cm bed), 1 bedroom (2 x 90cm beds), shower room, separate wc.

Outside: large plot. A closed room is at your disposal: 4 deckchairs, 2 deckchairs and you can also shelter your bicycles if you have any. The courtyard is walled but not enclosed. House adjoining the owners' holiday home (occupied in summer). Fishing tackle available on loan from the owners.

Baby equipment: cot, high chair, bathtub.

INCLUDED: End-of-stay cleaning (dishes and rubbish to be paid for by tenants) and wood supplied free of charge for the wood-burning stove.

SUPPLIES: Electricity over 8Kwh/day, bed linen (8€ per bed), towels (5€ per person), fuel oil if used (15€ per day).
