Welcome to "La Maison de René", a fully renovated character property combining modern comfort and authenticity. Nestled in the heart of the village of Fontannes, this spacious Holiday cottage can accommodate up to 14 people, making it ideal for holidays with family or friends. René and Suzanne, the former owners, brought these walls full of history and anecdotes to life, and in buying the house Thierry and Caroline were determined to continue in the same spirit. During the renovation work, they made sure that the charm of yesteryear was preserved: exposed beams, original parquet flooring and a warm ambience recall the past, while offering a comfortable living environment and modern, complete equipment! The sleeping area, located on the second floor, includes four bedrooms and a dormitory, perfect for both small and large groups. Outside, enjoy two landscaped areas for relaxing and sharing convivial moments. The village of Fontannes offers an ideal setting for exploring various tourist sites: - Brioude (approx. 3 km): This city is home to the Basilique Saint-Julien, the largest Romanesque church in Auvergne, renowned for its frescoes and impressive architecture. - Lavaudieu (approx. 4 km): Classified as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France", Lavaudieu is famous for its Benedictine abbey and Romanesque cloister, offering a plunge into medieval history. - Vieille-Brioude (approx. 5 km): a picturesque village with sites such as the 13th-century Bajasse bridge and Sainte-Anne church. A little further afield, discover the famous City of Le Puy en Velay and its many UNESCO World Heritage buildings, or La Chaise-DieuFamous for its Gothic architecture and sacred music festival, this abbey is a major cultural center in the region. Rates include utilities, bed linen and cleaning.

Entrance to the property is via an enclosed, secure courtyard at the front of the building.
You enter the house via the living room, a vast room with a large dining table opening onto a comfortable sitting area and a corridor leading to a fully-equipped kitchen, a shower room, a toilet and the staircase to the first floor.
On the second floor you'll find 2 double bedrooms, a triple bedroom, a single bedroom and a dormitory for 6 people. A shower room and toilet complete this level.
