45min from Saint Étienne, 1h30 from Lyon and 2h from Clermont-Ferrand, in the heart of a mountainous landscape on the edge of the Massif du Meygal, lies the superb village of St Julien Chapteuil. More precisely, at the foot of Mont Chanis, in the hamlet of Rocherols, Jérôme and Ingrid welcome you to their recently renovated family home, set in 5000m2 of wooded grounds. Its style is a blend of ancient stonework and modern materials. The owners have taken care to fit out the accommodation with functional, comfortable equipment, all in a contemporary, uncluttered decor. The spacious interior and exterior make for a pleasant stay with family or friends. Local attractions include numerous hiking, trail and mountain bike trails. Just a few minutes away: the village of St Julien Chapteuil with its weekly market, numerous shops and restaurants, its Romanesque church and the remains of its ancient castle. Nearby: a variety of activities (via ferrata, accrobranche, vélo rail, summer swimming pool, 4-season sledging, ice rink, cross-country and downhill skiing....), the Moulin de Guerin, the village of Queyrières overlooked by its rock, the town of Le Puy-en-Velay and its many UNESCO World Heritage monuments, the Lac Bleu in Champclause, the fortress of St Vidal and its medieval shows...

The entrance to the gîte is on the first floor, where you'll find a games room hidden behind a glass roof, and a little further on, a laundry room, a toilet and a single shower.

Moving up to the 1st floor, you arrive in the large living room. This includes an industrial-style kitchen with a beautiful cooking piano, opening onto the living room with its huge dining table, and a comfortable sitting room with a reading area. You have direct access to the terrace, where you can contemplate the breathtaking view over the village of St Julien Chapteuil. Also on this floor is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room (accessible to the disabled) and WC.

The 2nd and top floor includes a second double bedroom, two triple bedrooms, a toilet, a bathroom and, if required, a sofa bed.
Electric heating.

Baby equipment: high chair, bed, changing table, toilet reducer, potty, stroller.
All-inclusive rates include: bed linen and towels for the entire stay, end-of-stay cleaning (excluding crockery and rubbish), heating and electricity with reasonable consumption (150Kwh/day) - any excess to be paid on site to the owners.

Pets allowed up to a limit of two dogs, excluding category 1 and 2 (€50 per pet per stay).
The accommodation is equipped with fiber optic cables and RJ45 plugs in every room.
A video projector is provided by the owners so that you can watch the program of your choice while sitting around the table with a good meal.
External recharging point for electric vehicles available at an additional cost of 0.28 euros per kwh.
