Located in the peaceful village of Tailhac, in the heart of a pristine natural setting, this holiday cottage offers the perfect setting to recharge with family or friends. A former village school that has been carefully renovated, it serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the wonders of the Allier Gorges and the southern Haute-Loire region. Nature lovers will enjoy the many hiking trails and mountain bike routes starting from or near the village, including the PR 10 trail leading to an ancient dolmen. Just a few kilometers away, the Allier Gorges invite you to explore wild landscapes, with opportunities for swimming, water sports, and walks along the river. The villages of Chanteuges and Prades are among the area’s most beautiful discoveries, featuring an abbey, valley landscapes, and impressive basalt columns shaped by volcanic activity. Beyond its natural heritage, the area also boasts major historical sites, such as Mont Mouchet, a key site of the Resistance in Auvergne. To extend your getaway, discover Lavoute-Chilhac, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France, or Saugues, a “Cité de Caractère” with a rich heritage, renowned for the legend of the Beast of Gévaudan and the vast landscapes of the Margeride that surround it. Le Puy-en-Velay, less than an hour’s drive away, is a must-see destination to explore its exceptional heritage and several monuments listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are also several holiday cottages in the town, making it ideal for organizing group stays or family gatherings. All shops and services are available in Langeac (8 km): a weekly market, the Allier Gorges tourist train, outdoor activities, and the Aquadôme water park with slides and a Wellbeing area.

Housed in a renovated former village school, this 6-person holiday cottage welcomes you to a quiet and unspoiled setting, just a few minutes from the village of Tailhac. Set on a 700 m² enclosed lot with no neighbors directly across the way, it offers the ideal setting to fully enjoy the Countryside in complete tranquility. Outside, you’ll appreciate the covered terrace under the porch, perfect for meals or relaxing in the shade. Inside, the ground floor features a separate kitchen, a spacious living area, a bedroom with a 160-bed, as well as a bathroom and a separate toilet. Upstairs, you’ll find two additional bedrooms: one with a 160-bed and the other with two 90-beds. An office-library area completes the floor. A carport is available for you to safely park bicycles and motorcycles or store your recreational equipment.
For your convenience, utilities, bed linens, bath towels, and end-of-stay housekeeping are included in the rate. Pets are allowed for an additional fee of €20 per pet per stay. A security deposit of €150 will be required upon their arrival.
