Gîte les Calades

Welcome to Les Calades, a charming Holiday cottage nestled in the center of the highest village in the Massif Central, Les Estables, at an altitude of 1,350 m. This large, carefully renovated country house combines authenticity and modern comfort. It takes its name from the magnificent original stone floors that give the vast living room its distinctive character. Designed to accommodate up to 15 people, this 3-level Holiday cottage features a fully-equipped professional kitchen, ideal for preparing shared meals. The large living room invites conviviality, and the 6 bedrooms, all with private shower rooms, guarantee comfort and privacy for everyone. Just a stone's throw from the resort of Les Estables, you can enjoy a wide range of activities all year round: Alpine skiing (snow permitting), cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and dog sledding in winter; Hiking, mountain biking, paragliding and rock climbing in summer. Mont Mézenc, the region's emblematic peak, offers breathtaking panoramas. Mont Gerbier de Jonc, Narces de Chaudeyrolles and Lake Issarles are just a short drive away. Even further afield, don't miss out on a visit to the City of Le Puy en Velay, with its many UNESCO World Heritage sites; An ideal place to get together with family or friends, in the heart of a preserved and invigorating natural environment. Heating and hot water by pellet-fired boiler, billed according to actual consumption at end of stay (5 euros per bag). Electricity billed at end of stay according to consumption: €0.20 per kWH Optional end-of-stay cleaning: €100 Towels: €2 per shower towel.

The house is located in the village of Les Estables, with plenty of parking nearby.
On the front of the house you'll find a small terrace where you can enjoy an outdoor lunch on sunny days.
The ground and second floors of the house are accessible from the street.
On the ground floor of the Holiday cottage, you'll find 2 living areas, the first of which is a dining area with large dining tables and everything you need to prepare breakfast. The second area is designed more for relaxation and aperitifs, with comfortable armchairs and a bar area.
An ultra-equipped professional kitchen and toilet complete this level.
The second floor can be accessed either by stairs, by elevator (only for people with motor difficulties) or from the street. It comprises 4 bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms and WCs, three double rooms (one with a 140cm bed and 2 with twin 90cm beds) and one triple room (with a 90cm bed and 2 90cm bunk beds). A reading room and a hall where you can store your sports equipment complete this floor.

On the second floor, you'll find 2 further bedrooms: a double with en-suite shower room and toilet, and a quadruple with en-suite bathroom! A TV lounge completes this level.
