Gîte du Suc d'Eyme

2 hours from Clermont-Ferrand, 1h40 from Lyon and 1h from Saint Étienne, lies the town of Yssingeaux. Monique and her husband's gîte is located in a nearby hamlet, in an outbuilding of a private château. It's a peaceful spot nestled in the beautiful Yssingeaux countryside in the heart of the surrounding Sucs. A truly relaxing getaway in the heart of nature, this gîte offers all modern comforts in a picturesque setting. The owners offer table d'hôte meals on request. All shops, services and markets in Yssingeaux. Bakery, tobacconist, restaurant in the village of Malataverne. From the gîte: numerous hiking trails to discover charming villages and exceptional views, possibility of joining the Via Fluvia at Rosières or Saint Julien de Pinet, then admire the Corboeuf gardens, then the Moulin du Pinard, and the Glavenas chapel. Nearby: Yssingeaux, with its architectural heritage including the church of Saint Pierre, the town hall and the surrounding streets, where it's good to stroll and take your time, its museum of folk art and traditions, its market and its activities: bowling, archery, pétanque, the Neyrial leisure park. A little further afield: Retournac and its nautical base 6 km away, the Lavalette leisure base 14 km away (swimming, sailing, pedalos, playground, hot-air ballooning), the Meygal massif 15 minutes away for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, the Ollières and Saussac sucs, for walks and hikes of all levels.

Entrance to the gîte is via the first floor, where you'll find a hall with a large dressing room.
A corridor leads to a first double bedroom with a 160x200cm bed, a shower room/WC and a separate WC.
You then arrive in the large living room with its fully-equipped kitchen, cosy lounge and dining table.

A large bay window gives access to a private outdoor area.

On the 1st floor, you'll find two bedrooms, both of which are also equipped with a 160x200cm bed. In one of them, you'll find an extra bed (90x190cm) if required.
On the mezzanine floor, you have access to a relaxation area (lounge/TV, board games, children's games).

Baby equipment: cot, high chair, baby bath. Safety gates have been installed at the top and bottom of the stairs.

All-inclusive rates include: bed linen and towels for the stay, end-of-stay cleaning (however, the gite must be tidy, dustbins and dishwasher emptied, bed linen grouped together in the same place, and bathrooms must be in a good state of cleanliness), heating and electricity within the limit of reasonable consumption (16Kwh/day) - any excess will be paid to the owners on site.
