Gîte de Peyra Taillade

Just 2 hours from Lyon and 1h30 from Clermont-Ferrand, perched at an altitude of 1100 m and nestled in a green setting, lies the village of Le Vernet! Here, time seems to have stood still, and the village, with its stone houses, is reminiscent of the villages depicted on old postcards! The surrounding countryside is unspoilt and calm reigns, making you want to take time out from the hustle and bustle of everyday life... It's in this magnificent setting that Mr. Capo has magnificently renovated "le clos de la Durande", a group of buildings comprising his home and the Peyra Taillade gite. On site: multiple hiking trails for walking, cycling or snowshoeing, fauna and flora observation, and the ideal spot for astronomy enthusiasts! A little further afield: the Allier gorges, with their many white-water activities, and the village of Saugues, where you can discover the legends of Gévaudan.... A little further afield: the town of Le Puy en Velay and its many UNESCO World Heritage buildings (half an hour's drive away), the town of Brioude, famous for its biennial watercolour festival and its basilica with its remarkable architecture.

The entrance to the gite is via a 300m2 shared courtyard.

On the ground floor, you'll find the living area, which is beautifully laid out around a central wood-burning stove. It comprises a fully-equipped, functional kitchen and a cocooning lounge area. Further back, you'll also find a toilet.
Upstairs you'll find: two bedrooms, the first with two 90cm beds and the second with a 140cm bed; a bathroom with walk-in shower and a second toilet.

Gite information :
Adjoining the owner's house, shared courtyard.
No washing machine, but you can use the owner's machine.

Bed linen, electricity and the loan of 4 mountain bikes are included in the price.
