With its 5 bedrooms and an upper floor converted into a dormitory—which kids especially love—this holiday cottage offers spacious living areas so everyone can fully enjoy their stay. Its spacious living areas and outdoor amenities make it an ideal spot for gatherings with family or friends. Outside, you’ll find relaxation areas, private parking, and a locked storage room for bikes, sports gear, or recreational equipment. From the holiday cottage, there are plenty of activities to enjoy year-round. Lake Saint-Front, within walking distance, is perfect for strolling and relaxing. Hiking, trail running, and mountain biking enthusiasts will enjoy the many trails crisscrossing the Mézenc Plateau and the surrounding volcanic landscapes. Just a few kilometers away, the resort of Les Estables offers, depending on the season, Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, sledding, paragliding, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities. Mount Mézenc, Mount Gerbier de Jonc, and the headwaters of the Loire River are among the area’s must-see sites. You can also explore the Narces de Chaudeyrolles, the thatched-roof cottages of Moudeyres, the village of Bigorre, Lake Bleu in Champclause, the Recoumène Viaduct and its giant zip lines, or the Himalayan-style footbridge over the Lignon River—the longest of its kind in France. For cultural discoveries and major hiking trails, don’t miss Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille, the starting point of the famous Stevenson Trail (GR70), as well as the city of Le Puy-en-Velay, a major stop on the Way of St. James and home to a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage site. Once you pass through the gate, you’ll enter a paved courtyard with ample parking for several vehicles. After crossing the furnished patio at the front of the holiday cottage (also accessible via a gentle slope), you’ll enter a pleasant living area that combines a kitchen, dining room, and living room with a TV.
The ground floor also features a second living room offering additional space to relax, a coat closet area with coat hooks, and a laundry room equipped with a washing machine. A bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet complete this level. Upstairs, the sleeping area consists of five bedrooms: three bedrooms, each with a 140 cm double bed; one bedroom with a 90 cm single bed; and one bedroom with a 140 cm sofa bed. A second bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet are also available on this floor. The top floor is entirely dedicated to the kids, featuring a play area and a cozy dormitory with four 90-cm single beds. A toilet with a sink completes this space.
Outside, you’ll enjoy a pleasant relaxation area with a large wooden table, ideal for sharing meals and spending quality time with family or friends.
Sheets, towels, and end-of-stay cleaning are available as optional extras: double bed sheets for €10 per bed, single bed sheets for €8 per bed, towels for €10 per person, and an end-of-stay cleaning fee of €100 per stay.
