At the end of a path that leads only there, a 180° panorama opens up over the Forest de Saoû, Roche Colombe, the meadows and the sky. Mornings when the mist still clings to the ridges. Evenings when the golden light gently erases everything you've left behind. The Meyas don't try to impress. They just do, naturally. It's that kind of place, the one you weren't necessarily looking for and will never forget...

At the end of the road, a whole new world opens up... You arrive at Les Meyas by a small path that leads nowhere else. No neighbors, no road noise, just the gentle, slightly strange sensation of gradually cutting off from everything else. And then, as we round the last bend, the view suddenly appears: a 180° panorama of Roche Colombe, the crests of the Trois Becs, the Forest de Saoû and its limestone walls, the meadows where the horses graze. The Holiday cottage occupies part of an old Drôme farmhouse, carefully restored with respect for the original materials and the environment. The outdoor spaces quickly become your territory: a clearing ideal for hanging a hammock and dipping into the available library, a solarium for lazy mornings, a boules pitch for disputed afternoons, and an ecological swimming pool for the summer heat. The large 80 m² activity room - equipped with a piano, yoga mats and video projector - can also be used to organize workshops, retreats or training courses in a setting that is bound to make them more inspiring. Just a two-minute walk away, the equestrian center opens up the valley to those who prefer to explore it on horseback. The Saoû Forest, just a few minutes away, is undoubtedly one of the most singular natural sites in the whole region. Classified as a sensitive natural area, it is reputed to be one of the most beautiful perched synclines in Europe. Signposted trails wind up to the Trois Becs - Rochecourbe, le Signal and le Veyou - whose highest point reaches 1,589 m in the Vallée de la Drôme. For climbers, the massif offers over 750 climbing routes, from 3b to 8b, from 30 to 300 m in height - enough to occupy several holidays without ever doing the same route twice.
And in the heart of the Forest, the Auberge des Dauphins, reopened in 2022, has become a site house offering light meals, exhibitions on the geology and biodiversity of the syncline, and themed walks. Crest, twenty minutes away, deserves much more than a visit. Its 52-metre medieval tower - one of France's tallest keeps - overlooks the waters of the Drôme and offers a breathtaking panorama from its summit, from the Monts d'Ardèche to the peaks of the Vercors Vallée de la Drôme. The City has been awarded the "Plus beaux détours de France" label, and its cobbled streets, artisan workshops and Saturday morning Market make it a lively and tasty stopover. Die and Clairette, a little further east in the valley, invite a different kind of exploration. The road leading to them, through vineyards, walnut groves and lavender fields, is already a sight to behold. In the cellars of the Diois wineries, you can discover the secrets of an ancestral wine with natural bubbles, mentioned by Pliny the Elder two thousand years ago. The Drôme river itself is a playground: one of the last wild rivers in Europe, ideal for canoeing, swimming in its basins and strolling along its banks. The Ramières nature reserve, a preserved wetland between forest and marsh, completes the picture for lovers of flora and fauna.

Kids are strongly discouraged from using the property, as there are numerous unguarded terraces in the grounds and an electrified horse park fence. The gîte has a separate entrance on the second floor (ten or so stone steps). Lisa, the owners' daughter, lives on the first floor, and the guest house is located on another wing of the property. The Holiday cottage's terrace boasts sensational views of the surrounding area, the Forest de Saou and the perched syncline, as well as the ruins of the Château de Soyans. Shared gas barbecue in summer kitchen. Large 12-hectare plot. Ecological Piscine with natural pool, water filtered by plants. The pool is fully fenced. The Piscine is shared with the owners and Bed and breakfast guests (12x4m, depth 1m5, open from mid-May to end of September). First floor: entrance hall, living room with dining area, sitting area with wood-burning stove and fully-equipped kitchen. The Flore bedroom is accessed by a few steps from the living room. This room has a double bed (1x160x200) and a bathroom with toilet and large Italian shower. The Faune bedroom is off the hall and has one double and one single bed (1x160x200 + 1x90x190) and a shower room (Italian shower). Separate WC with washbasin in the entrance hall. Parking on the property 20m from the Holiday cottage. Bike/motorcycle shelter on request. Shared laundry room with Bed and breakfast rooms, with washing machine and dryer. Underfloor heating.
