Buis les Baronnies and its picturesque market, Vaison la Romaine and its vestiges of Roman times, Avignon and its famous bridge, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Gordes and the Abbaye de Sénanque are all great day-trip destinations. For a "wellness" day, Montbrain les bains and its thermal baths are half an hour's drive away, through lavender and olive groves. At siesta time, let the sound of the cicadas lull you to sleep.
