L'Alisqué, the patois name chosen for this farmhouse, has been tastefully renovated in the traditional style, using old materials such as hemp and lime. It's a little jewel case of comfort, calm and nature, which even the TGV line (400m) won't disturb. With its spacious living areas, it's an ideal pied-à-terre whether you're staying with family or friends. You won't want to miss out on visiting some of the region's hilltop villages, starting with Marsanne, dominated by the ruins of an 11th-century keep from which you can enjoy a magnificent panorama. A further 5km away is La Laupie, entirely restored by enthusiasts, and a little further on, Mirmande, listed as one of France's most beautiful villages. After this warm-up stroll through cobbled streets steeped in history, you'll be ready to tackle the slopes of the 3 Becs, overlooking the perched syncline of Saou, the natural jewel of the Drôme valley.
