A tiny village at 900m altitude, nestled in a lush Vercors valley, Léoncel, with its 12th-century Cistercian abbey, is a haven of peace and quiet where you'll feel right at home. An ideal setting for walks to the Col de la Bataille, the Plateau d'Ambel or the GR9 and GR93 long-distance footpaths, it's also a starting point for discovering the many facets of this beautiful region: grandiose or typical landscapes, such as the Karst seniter or the Cascade de la Druise, historic Vercors roads and the Vassieux Resistance sites, the more Provencal Drôme valley and the green Royans countryside. Don't hesitate to ask for advice from our 2 hostesses, who are eager to share their love of the region. With their warm, attentive welcome, they'll do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one.

Completely renovated, well-heated old house, ideal living space for 5 couples: fireside lounge; Gllum is cool dining room with garden and mountain views; superbly equipped kitchen; 5 comfortable bedrooms, 4 with en-suite shower rooms and WCs, personalized on the theme of traditional crafts. Beds made up, some separable on request. The whole house is decorated with attention to detail; many of the antique objects within reach cannot be moved, so young children need to be supervised. A small living room with a sofa bed can be used as a reading corner, playroom, study or 6th bedroom (no bathroom). Enclosed green garden and summer swimming pool open from mid-June to mid-September, weather permitting (4 m diameter, swimming harness). No noisy parties. Takeaway meals available on reservation at the Auberge de Léoncel (closed evenings, open seasonally). Contacts with guides for snowshoeing or nature outings.
