LA REMISE DE FRANCILLON

2 hours from Lyon, nestled in the heart of the Roubion valley, between the Drôme valley, the Montélimar plain and the Drôme provençale, the Francillon coach house is quietly located in the charming semi-circular village of Francillon-sur-Roubion, organized around its church. The location is ideal for discovering both the Drôme valley (the 3 Becs, the Saoû forest, Crest and Die, hilltop villages, the Drôme and Gervanne rivers, the Clairette route, canoeing) and the Drôme Provençale (Grignan and Nyons are less than 1 hour away, the Valdaine plain, Dieulefit and its potters and ceramists, the Trente pas de St-Ferréol parade). 5 minutes away, the village of Saoû, with its forest, the most beautiful perched syncline in Europe, its cliffs, its picodon festival (3rd weekend in July) and its markets. Bourdeaux, a small medieval village, is 10 minutes away. Crest and Dieulefit 25 min. Valence and Die 50 min.

As its name suggests, this former farm shed has been redesigned, restored and decorated by Aurore and Thierry, who have given it a new lease of life. Just a few months' work were enough to offer you a gentle awakening in this village cottage (approx. 196 souls). La remise de Francillon is laid out on 3 levels: first floor: living room with kitchen/living room (sofa bed available on request and at extra cost), access to private terrace. Above the living room: mezzanine with 2 90x200 beds. Lower level: 160x200 bedroom (also accessible on the street side of the first floor), shower room, separate toilet. The village is car-free, with communal parking just 100m away. You can easily get to the foot of the gîte to load/unload your car. We live in the village 1km away. Our little extra? Your beds will be made for your arrival.
