At the beginning of the 19th century, a master quarryman built this building from the stone he quarried himself near St Restitut. Here, stone is everywhere. It keeps the house cool in summer, silent at night, and shapes its atmosphere. As soon as you enter, the solid wood door sets the tone. Then the eye is drawn to the stone spiral staircase that elegantly climbs to the other two levels. The combination of old-world charm and modern comforts is perfect: a modern kitchen opening onto the living space, air-conditioned bedrooms for cool, restful nights in summer, and rooms bathed in light that invite you to relax. The Holiday cottage is in the heart of Saint-Restitut. In the morning, you can meet the locals. In the evening, you can hear the village life slowing down. Saint-Restitut has this rare characteristic: it's alive all year round, without losing its identity. All the essentials are within walking distance: restaurants, cafés, terraces, a few shops and, above all, a typically Provencal atmosphere. The village's light-colored stonework catches the light differently depending on the time of day and the season. Sit on a shady terrace, let yourself be lulled by the whisper of the wind in the cypress trees, and enjoy a homemade ice cream in the village square. Just a stone's throw from the Holiday cottage, the hills, Hiking trails, mountain bike tracks and panoramic views over the Rhône valley invite you to adventure and contemplation. Explore the troglodytic village of Barry, where you can spend the day strolling through the Saint Paul Trois Châteaux Market, or visiting a winery for an impromptu wine tasting. Then it's back on the road, through the typical landscapes of the Drôme Provençale, stopping off at Clansayes or Grignan, where the stones, once again, tell a different story.
