At On the Farm des Auches, nothing has been thought of as a tourist attraction. For over 40 years, Joëlle and Christian, now retired farmers, have been opening their doors. Years of living to the rhythm of the seasons, the grape harvests, the harvests... And above all, years of welcoming their guests as they would friends. Today, their son has taken over the family business (vines, olives and lavender), which still surrounds the house. On the Farm des Auches is not a building "inspired by the terroir": it's the terroir itself. A large, solid stone building set amidst the vines, as if it had always been there. In reality, the farmhouse dates back to the 16th century! The thick walls keep the house cool in summer, and the breakfast room is the living heart of the house: a large room with a massive old fireplace running through it. Dark beams that reflect the years. A long wooden table where you don't sit "to eat", but to share a moment. In the morning, bread arrives on the table, along with homemade jams and simple products. The rooms also bear the very personal imprint of Joëlle, who has decorated them herself with her own paintings. Provencal landscapes bathed in light, silhouettes of women, flowers... So many canvases that extend the atmosphere of the house and give it an even more intimate and singular dimension. Just 500 metres away, within walking distance, the village of Venterol appears like a postcard setting. A typical Drôme Provençale hilltop village, with its stone streets, restaurants, bakeries, open views over the hills and golden lights at the end of the day. From the house, you can already feel the proximity: the cultivated Countryside on one side, and just above, this village that dominates the landscape like a quiet sentinel. On the Farm des Auches is for those looking for something other than standardized accommodation: - A taste for authenticity and real, simple human contact, - A house with a history and people who still tell it, - A lively agricultural setting, between vineyards, lavender and olive trees.

La Ferme des Auches' 3 Bed and breakfasts: - La Verdale: a ground-floor room with a double bed (1x140), en suite shower room/WC. The other 2 bedrooms are located in the main building (stone staircase). - La Tanche, located on the 1st floor with a double bed (1x140), TV, shower room/WC (shower, washbasin).
- On the 2nd floor, accessed via a steep staircase: La Salonenque -Picholine, comprising 2 rooms, one with a double bed (1x140), TV, armchairs, shower room (shower cubicle, washbasin), wc and the other with two single beds (2x90). If booked for 2 people (couple), you will have the SALONENQUE only. If booked for 3 or 4 pers (couple + Kids), you'll have SALONENQUE + PICHOLINE. Breakfast room is in the main building (stone staircase). Communal kitchen and dining area accessible from outside (stove, oven, microwave, fridge), sheltered terrace. Parking in front of the porch, at the entrance to the property. Baby bed/high chair available on request. 5km from Nyons, ideal for visiting the weekly Thursday market, or the Sunday morning market in summer, to stock up on local specialties. You can also cross the Enclave des Papes and reach Grignan in 20 minutes by car, to discover its magnificent Renaissance château, built on a rocky outcrop. Hiking and cycling trails depart from the accommodation.
