Perched on a hillside, Château de la Bretonnière is a historic monument that has watched over the Galaure valley for centuries. Formerly a fortified house, it was known as "la seigneurie de la Bretonnière" during the Middle Ages, and is now a place steeped in history, where the stones tell the story of lords, travellers and resistance fighters who sought refuge here. Just a stone's throw from the château, a legendary spring named Sainte Épine was declared a public utility in the 19th century. Today, the château offers a peaceful setting. Take your time: stroll in the park, read in the shade of the trees, share moments with your partner, family or friends. Nearby, the rolling countryside invites you to go for a walk or cycle along the ViaRhôna. Châteauneuf-de-Galaure is just a few minutes away, as is Facteur Cheval's astonishing Palais Idéal. Gourmets can discover the Cité du Chocolat Valrhôna and the renowned wines of Crozes-Hermitage.
The apartment is nestled on the 2nd floor of one of the château's towers, accessible via a charming stone spiral staircase. Entirely renovated, it occupies the former maid's rooms and offers every modern comfort: all rooms are air-conditioned.
Three bedrooms welcome your nights: blue (single bed 1×120), red (2 single beds 1×100) and green (single bed 1×130). The living room has a fully-equipped kitchenette (2 burners, combined microwave), a dining area and a small TV. Separate shower room and WC.
Enjoy the 6-hectare park with terraced meadows, orchard, woods and tennis court. On the garden floor, the spacious arms room features colorful stained glass windows, a wicker lounge, dining area and summer kitchen.
Courtyard parking, electric charging point, access to a washing machine and bike/motorcycle shelter.
The Holiday cottage is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Exterior cameras for security.

Sylvain Très beau lieu
Merci beaucoup pour ce très beau séjour dans ce lieu d'exception, riche en patrimoine et enrichi par de nombreuses oeuvres contemporaines, toiles et sculptures. Nous mesurons tout le travail nécessaire pour redonner au château ses lettres de noblesse. Un régal pour tous les sens.
L'endroit est parfait pour un séjour en famille. Nous avons beaucoup utilisé la cuisine d'été et les petits déjeuners dans le parc étaient des plus agréables. Pour les enfants, de nombreux jeux sont mis à disposition.

MEG Très bon séjour
Nous avons séjourner au mois de juillet avec nos 3 enfants dont 1 bébé. Très bon accueil , endroit atypique nos enfants étaient super heureux avec le grand jardin les nombreux jeux à disposition.
Plusieurs activités à faire aux alentours.

chateau and art A suprise!
We founded it by chance, but we were surprise to found some persons and a place that include culture, history and art at the same time. Not easy nowadays! I was happy about founding the same desire of art, and the owner are really lovers and specialist. All the stay was perfect. Thank for the hospitality and the trust.
