Located 13 km from Salers in the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, this fully-renovated 1829 character house adjoining the owner's home welcomes you to a peaceful setting.
Nearby, you can visit Salers and Tournemire, classified as France's Most Beautiful Villages, the châteaux of Trémolière, Anjony and Auzers, enjoy a wide range of hiking trails (Puy Violent, Puy Chavaroche, Roche Taillade, Vallée du Mars, etc.), discover the Salins waterfall, and enjoy fishing, swimming and water sports at the Longairoux lake and municipal swimming pool in Saint-Martin. You can also visit a farm.
There's a terrace and 4400m² of enclosed grounds with uninterrupted views of the Monts du Cantal, as well as garden furniture, a barbecue, a plancha, deckchairs and a ping-pong table.
First floor: fitted kitchenette, living room with wood-burning stove (free wood), flat-screen TV, DVD player and wifi internet connection, separate toilet. On 1st floor, 1 bedroom with 1 x 160cm bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 small baby room (equipment available), shower room with WC. Beds made up on arrival. Heating with wood-burning stove and electric convector heaters (wood included and electricity according to consumption). The gîte can be heated exclusively with wood. Rates include all charges in high and very high seasons. Gîte refuge LPO.
For a two-week stay, the second week is 10% off.

Verblijf in de Cantal
5/5Een prima uitvalsbasis om de streek 'Cantal' te verkennen. Een heel warm onthaal door de eigenaars die heel veel tips en documentatie leveren. Een fijn, verzorgd huis met een keuken, voorzien van al het nodige en degelijke materiaal! Tijdens ons verblijf was het erg warm. De nieuwe rolluiken kwamen erg goed van pas.

5/5Propriétaires charmants ,faciles de contact. Maison propre fonctionnelle . Grand jardin. Vue sur les monts et les Salers dont on entend les cloches. . Situé au milieu de ces superbes paysages et villages d Auvergne. Toute la famille a beaucoup apprécié.

Another little corner of paradise
5/5I have visited several gites in Cantal over the past 30 years. I've enjoyed them all - it's why I keep returning. L'Oustal is, undoubtedly, the best. The surroundings and views are marvellous. The gite is comfortable and well-equipped. The nearby towns and villages are fascinating. Above all, the thought that Elise the owner puts into ensuring that her guests have a woderful holiday is unparalleled.
