In the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, this Holiday cottage, adjoining another gîte, is nestled in a small mid-mountain hamlet at an altitude of 1100m. The owners, who live just behind the Holiday cottage, will be delighted to welcome you 3 km from Valuéjols, in the heart of the Saint-Flour planèze.
Nearby, you can enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities: Hiking in the Cantal mountains, cross-country skiing at the Prat de Bouc and Super-Lioran ski resorts, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at the Ché ski lodge, swimming and water sports in the Truyère gorges, and fishing in the Ander, Alagnon and other nearby streams. You can also discover the region's rich built heritage by visiting the medieval towns of Murat and Saint-Flour, the Château d'Alleuze where one of the cult scenes from the film "La Grande Vadrouille" with Louis de Funès and Bourvil was filmed, the Garabit viaduct, the work of Gustave Eiffel, and the spa town of Chaudes-Aigues, famous for the hottest spring in Europe with water at 82°C.
This Holiday cottage has 400m² of private, unfenced grounds with garden furniture and barbecue, and a veranda with lounge area. First floor: living room with flat-screen TV and fiber-optic internet access, dining room with pellet stove (€7 per bag), fitted kitchenette, 1 bedroom (ceiling height 2 m) with 1 x 160x200 bed, shower room and separate toilet with washing-machine dryer.
