Located in the heart of the Carladès region, this detached character house built in 1796 and renovated in 2016 welcomes you to the heights of the village of Carlat. Numerous activities are available nearby: rock-climbing 400 meters away, a virtual visit to the ancient fortress of the Rock at Carlat, discovery of the Ronesque site, golf at Vézac, Fishing, water sports and swimming at the Sarrans and Saint Etienne Cantalès lakes, visits to castles, numerous Hiking possibilities in the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne.
Enclosed grounds with two terraces and unobstructed views of Aubrac and Aveyron.
First floor: living room with pellet stove (3 bags of pellets supplied, then €6 per bag), flat-screen TV, DVD player, radio-CD player, kitchenette, bathroom with closed toilet (shower 80x120cm, ceiling height 1.95m). Upstairs, 1 bedroom with 1 x 160x200 bed and mezzanine sitting area with small library and board games. Beds made on arrival. Baby equipment on request (high chair, cot, bath). Electric heating according to consumption. All-inclusive rates in high and very high seasons.
Shops in Vézac 7 km (grocery, bakery, butcher, bars, restaurants). Shops and services in Arpajon sur Cère 12.5 km. Aurillac 15 km.

Andrew A charming Gite in an exceptional location.
A tastefully renovated barn, with all modern conveniences. Just perfect for 2 people for a short break in a fantastic location with fabulous views. We were met upon arrival by the owner in the village carpark, as the route to the elevated location of the Gite would be too challenging to find using satnav. We toured the locality and loved every moment. Good supermarkets in Aurillac, just a few miles away for all self catering needs. The Gite is small, but has very comfortable accomodation, with one large loft bedroom with adjacent dressing area. Note, stairs to the loo during the night....take a torch. Not a problem.
