Close to the classified Grand Site National du Puy Mary and 10 km from the medieval town of Salers, this spacious, bright apartment welcomes you to the heart of the village of Saint-Martin Valmeroux.
Nestled in the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, this gîte will give you the chance to sample the joys of outdoor activities: hiking (Puy Mary, Puy Violent, Puy Chavaroche nearby), cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (Col de Légal) and fishing (La Maronne). You can also discover the region's rich built heritage by visiting the villages of Salers and Tournemire, classified as France's Most Beautiful Villages, the castles of Trémolière, Saint-Chamant and Anjony, and the many Romanesque churches. Children can relax at the municipal swimming pool in July and August, or at the city park and playground less than 200m from the apartment.
This gîte is on the first floor of a bar-restaurant (closes at 8pm). You can relax on the enclosed terrace, equipped with garden furniture and a plancha. On the 1st level, you'll find a bright, spacious living room with flat-screen TV, wifi internet access and a small games area, a large fitted kitchen, a bedroom with 1 x 160x200 bed, a bedroom with 1 x 2-person bed, a bathroom and a separate toilet. On the 2nd level, 2 attic bedrooms are available: the first is equipped with 2 single beds and the second with 2 trundle beds suitable for children. Beds made up on arrival. Gas central heating included. Electricity according to consumption.
Shops in the village of Saint-Martin and local farmers' market every Friday morning.
