Le Buron de l'Aigada

Come and enjoy a change of scenery in this fully restored former buron, once the traditional summer home of shepherds who herded cows and made cheese.

Situated in the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, this isolated former buron welcomes you to a privileged site in a preserved natural environment at 1228m altitude in the heart of the mountain pastures.
With its 360° unobstructed view, it's an ideal location for hikers or simply to relax and recharge your batteries. Access is via a 200-meter carriage road, with car parking next to the gîte.
Nearby, you can enjoy hiking (Puy Mary, Puy Violent, Monts du Cantal) and fishing (the Mars and Marilhou rivers are nearby). You can also discover the region's rich architectural heritage by visiting Salers and Tournemire, classified as France's most beautiful villages, and the Trémolière and Auzers castles.
This "buron" has a private outdoor space of around 1000m² in the middle of a 4-hectare plot that can accommodate a few Salers cows for summer grazing. A garden table, parasol and gas barbecue are available. Petanque court.
