Nestled on the heights of Thiézac at an altitude of 1050 m in the heart of the mountain pastures, this isolated former buron welcomes you to a privileged site in an unspoilt natural environment. You'll discover the traditional habitat of the shepherds who once lived here in the summer to herd their cows and make their cheese.
Situated in the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, this accommodation boasts a terrace with an unobstructed view of the Cère valley and the Cantal mountains, ideal for Hiking enthusiasts or simply to relax and recharge your batteries. It can be reached on foot via a farm track (approx. 10-minute walk) or by 4X4. Car parking is available 500 meters from the start of the path (20-minute walk in total). Your luggage can be transported to the Holiday cottage by 4x4 (luggage transport €50 return).
This simple buron features a living room with fireplace and wood-burning stove (wood supplied), a kitchenette with 1 x 2-burner hob, 1 x combined microwave/grill oven and 1 x fridge with freezer, a relaxation area, a mezzanine with 4 single beds, a shower room, a separate toilet and a large storage area in the former cellar. Spring-fed Buron, bottled water supplied. Bed linen not provided. Electric heating included. Rates include all charges. Compost bin available.
