Le Buron

Renovated former buron near Aurillac.

The buron (Mazut in Occitan), built in the early 20th century and fully renovated in 2015, is an old farm building once used to make our region's emblematic cheeses: Cantal and Salers.
This stone building is located in the heart of our farm, on a basalt plateau overlooking the Rasthène and Embène valleys. The location is ideal for Hiking and snowshoeing in winter, with panoramic views of the Aubrac mountains in Aveyron and the Cantal mountains on either side of the plateau.
We welcome you to our Holiday cottage, where you'll find a cosy, modern yet authentic atmosphere that exudes the charm of yesteryear.
You have access to a 24 m² enclosed terrace and a 1000 m² unfenced plot with garden furniture, deckchairs and barbecue. First floor: living room with fitted kitchen opening onto the lounge, pellet stove (pellets provided), flat-screen TV and wifi internet access. Upstairs, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and TV, 1 bedroom with 2 single trundle beds and Kids' Cabin (1 bed 90x190) and TV, shower room, separate toilet. Baby Equipment on request. Beds made on arrival. Electric heating included. All-inclusive rates.
Bakery, grocery store in Vézac 8 km. Shops in Raulhac 8 km and Arpajon sur Cère 14 km. Aurillac 19 km. Vic sur Cère 17 km. In summer, a local Market is held in Carlat.
Many activities are possible in the area: visits to cheese-making farms, golf at Vézac, visit to the Carlat rock site (climbing and virtual tour of the ancient fortress), discovery of the Ronesque rock site, Messilhac castle, water sports and swimming at Lake Sarrans, skiing at the Super-Lioran ski resort.
