Nearby attractions include the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne with its many hiking trails, the summer pasture walk at Anglards de Salers, the Salins waterfall, the Mars valley, the Grand Site National du Puy Mary, accrobranche climbing at Le Falgoux, Fishing, swimming and water sports at Lake Bort-les-Orgues, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at Le Falgoux, and visits to the châteaux of Trémolière, Anjony and Auzers.
This Holiday cottage has 600 m² of enclosed grounds with garden furniture, lounge, deckchairs and barbecue, and enjoys an unobstructed view over the Mars valley. First floor: living room with fireplace (free wood-burning stove), flat-screen TV, kitchenette, bathroom, separate toilet. 1st floor: 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (140cm), 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (140cm) and 1 single bed (bed linen provided), separate wc. Marcotine Agréable dépaysement
Accueil toujours exceptionnel. Gîte parfait et très confortable. Très bien agencé et décoration originale. La vue est magnifique au delà d'un jardin paysager luxuriant. Calme garanti. Les propriétaires sont adorables.

David Exceptional!
The lovely stone house is rustic and pretty, in a superb location with an unbeatable view down the Mars valley. It's breathtaking, and the whole location is exceptionally tranquil and idyllic. The owner, Jean-Pierre was very welcoming and obliging. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were pleased with our choice.

Malaga77 Une très belle semaine
Un inoubliable séjour !
L’accueil chaleureux de Jean-Pierre donne le ton. On se sent très bien dans cette maison où il fait bon vivre. L’isolation est parfaite. Le poêle à bois met une ambiance. Nous avons profité des levers de soleil tous les jours au son des cloches des vaches. Les sites naturels aux alentours sont magnifiques. Nous sommes ravis et reviendrons avec grand plaisir. A noter, si vous avez des enfants qui doivent faire des devoirs … il n’y a pas de wifi.

Nigel & Jackie Fantastic holiday
This was a real discovery - total privacy, peace and tranquility in a super setting.......with a view to die for!!! Our ideal location. An outstanding find in an area of incredible natural beauty. We had a wonderful time staying here, in a cottage which was really well and thoughtfully equipped to cater for all of our needs. With the local tourist office GPS walking App and map in our hands we walked for miles in the beautiful countryside. Local facilities were excellent, from the bakery and butcher in the village to great supermarkets in Mauriac. Our hosts were really kind and helpful and had thought of everything to make our stay really enjoyable. In the cooler autumnal evenings we were able to light a fire in the huge living room hearth and eat some delicious hone cooked food. The Gite represented excellent value for money and we would not hesitate to return here for a second...third...visit. Our dog loved his stay here too and was perfectly secure in the lovely enclosed garden. My recommendation ......do not hesitate to book.
