Located in the heart of the Cantalian Châtaigneraie, just outside the Lot and Aveyron departments, this charming semi-detached house—completely renovated in 2024—welcomes you to a peaceful setting. It combines old-world charm—with its exposed beams and stonework—with tasteful decor.
Nestled just a stone’s throw from the Truyère Gorges, this region is ideal for exploring the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park and the Lot Valley. Nearby, you can enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming, and water sports at the lakes of St. Gervais and St. Etienne Cantalès. You can also visit the “Petites Cités de Caractère” towns of Montsalvy and Marcolès, the medieval towns of Aurillac and Laguiole, as well as the villages of Conques, Tournemire, and Salers—all of which, like Marcolès, are listed among the “Most Beautiful Villages of France.”
This holiday cottage features a 1,500-square-meter fenced-in property with a fenced pond at the front and a small enclosed outdoor area at the back of the house. You’ll enjoy a terrace with patio furniture, a barbecue, and lounge chairs.
On the ground floor, there is a living room with a fireplace and a wood pellet stove (€7 per bag; first bag free), a flat-screen TV and internet access, a large dining room with a fully equipped kitchenette featuring an induction cooktop, an oven, a refrigerator-freezer, a microwave, a drip coffee maker, and a Senseo coffee maker, laundry room, and separate toilet. Upstairs: 3 bedrooms, each with a Bed 160 x 200; one of these can be reconfigured to include two Beds 80 x 200, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. Beds are made on arrival, and bathroom linen is provided. Central heating via heat pump is included in the price.
