Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, this region is ideal for outdoor activities: hiking (Puy Mary, Col de Serre, Puys du Peyre-Arse et de la Tourte...), Nordic activities (cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing...) at Col de Serre and at the Super-Lioran resort, paragliding at Le Claux, fishing in the Santoire, mountain biking... You can also discover the richness of the region's built heritage by visiting the medieval town of Murat, the listed church of Dienne, the Drils mill...
The gîte has 450m² of semi-enclosed grounds with private parking, and a terrace with plancha, garden furniture and deckchairs, with panoramic views over the Santoire valley. First floor: fitted kitchenette, large, bright living room with wood-burning stove (free wood), flat-screen TV and WiFi internet access, 1 bedroom with 1 x 160x200 bed, shower room, separate toilet. Upstairs, 2 partitioned sleeping areas, with glazed areas but no opening to the outside: one with 1 double bed and one with 2 single beds. Electric underfloor heating and convector heater upstairs according to consumption. Rates include all utilities in high and very high seasons. Games and books for young and old. Petanque court.
Access to gîte via winding road. Winter equipment required. In case of heavy snowfall, the last kilometer can only be reached on foot. 6 pairs of snowshoes available.
