Nestled in a small mid-mountain hamlet 12 km from the medieval town of Salers in the heart of the Monts du Cantal, this fully-renovated detached character house welcomes you to a calm, unspoilt environment.
Nearby, you can discover the wide-open spaces, fauna and flora of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne and the Grand Site National du Puy Mary. The region is ideal for outdoor activities: hiking (GR400, GR4, Puy Violent, Puy Chavaroche...), fishing (the Maronne and Bertrande rivers nearby), Nordic activities at the Col de Légal station (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing...) and mountain biking. You can also discover the wealth of the region's built heritage by visiting the villages of Salers and Tournemire, classified as the Most Beautiful Villages in France, and the castles of St Chamant, Anjony and La Trémolière. The owners will also open the doors of their farm to you, so you can take part in milking the cows and making the cheese.
The gîte has 1700m² of semi-enclosed grounds with garden furniture, barbecue and deckchairs. First floor: living room with fireplace (free wood) and flat-screen TV, fitted kitchenette. On 1st floor, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 closed sleeping area with 1 single bed (beds made on arrival), 1 bathroom with toilet (towels provided). Wifi internet access. Oil-fired central heating included. Rates include all charges. Grocery and bread store in St Chamant 4 km, shops in St Martin Valmeroux 8 km and St Cernin 11 km.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le gîte. Le hameau est d'une tranquillité apaisante. La maison d'un charme sans pareil. Les hôtes sont très agréables. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. Seul petit bémol, revoir le salon de jardin.

AD Un très agréable séjour dans le Cantal
Gîte très agréablement situé dans une belle campagne, calme, verdoyante dont l'altitude moyenne (900 à 1000 m) permet de profiter d'une relative fraicheur.
L'équipement de la maison est sans défaut, un jardin calme et accueillant permet de s'isoler discrètement, prendre ses repas.
L'hôte est discret, convivial et généreux.
Sa ferme - pardon la taille et la sémantique actuelle doivent faire dire exploitation agricole - est proche, magnifiquement située, propose ses produits (beurre, fromages, glaces) et ceux d'autres producteurs pour se régaler.
Et une note de séduction pour les bovins de la belle race Salers au delà des fromages de Cantal et Salers.

Loulou Quel bonheur!
Superbe séjour au sein d’une des plus belles régions de France.
Le gîte est spacieux et nous a permis de nous ressourcer.
Il ne manque rien. On est comme chez soi…
Nous n’avons pas eu l’occasion de visiter l’exploitation mais ce n’est que partie remise.
Merci pour les petites attentions à notre arrivée. Nous rapportons en Belgique d’excellents fromages que nous partagerons avec nos amis à notre retour.- Cleanliness
