Nestled in a small mid-mountain hamlet 12 km from the medieval town of Salers in the heart of the Monts du Cantal, this fully-renovated detached character house welcomes you to a calm, unspoilt environment.
Nearby, you can discover the wide-open spaces, fauna and flora of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne and the Grand Site National du Puy Mary. The region is ideal for outdoor activities: hiking (GR400, GR4, Puy Violent, Puy Chavaroche...), fishing (the Maronne and Bertrande rivers nearby), Nordic activities at the Col de Légal station (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing...) and mountain biking. You can also discover the wealth of the region's built heritage by visiting the villages of Salers and Tournemire, classified as the Most Beautiful Villages in France, and the castles of St Chamant, Anjony and La Trémolière. The owners will also open the doors of their farm to you, so you can take part in milking the cows and making the cheese.
The gîte has 1700m² of semi-enclosed grounds with garden furniture, barbecue and deckchairs. First floor: living room with fireplace (free wood) and flat-screen TV, fitted kitchenette. On 1st floor, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 closed sleeping area with 1 single bed (beds made on arrival), 1 bathroom with toilet (towels provided). Wifi internet access. Oil-fired central heating included. Rates include all charges. Grocery and bread store in St Chamant 4 km, shops in St Martin Valmeroux 8 km and St Cernin 11 km.

UBU Un gîte qu'on n'oublie pas
Une belle maison authentique et confortable dans un joli hameau calme et bien situé…et la proximité de la boutique de la ferme avec ses fameux fromages et produits locaux et très appréciable , c’est le gîte idéal pour profiter du Cantal …un grand merci à Amandine et Pierre de nous le faire partager.

Accueil très chaleureux de la part de notre hôte dans un gîte très spacieux. Il ne manquait rien, on se sentait comme à la maison.
D'une propreté irréprochable. Une très bonne literie et beaucoup de confort. Et pour notre arrivée des produits locaux de l'exploitation de nos hôtes nous attendaient dans le frigo. Des gourmandises que nous avons su apprécier.
Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine même si le temps était un peu maussade. Nous avons parcouru de long en large le Pays de Salers. Nous y avons de bons souvenirs.- Cleanliness

Excellent séjour dans un hameau très paisible.tout était parfait le gîte est très propre ,décoré avec goût et très bien situé pour visiter cette belle région.et le jardin parfait pour la farniente.les hôtes sont très accueillants et producteurs d'excellents produits achetés à la ferme près du gîte.Merci encore pour votre accueil et les petites attentions à notre arrivée.
