Nestled in a small mid-mountain hamlet 12 km from the medieval town of Salers in the heart of the Monts du Cantal, this fully-renovated detached character house welcomes you to a calm, unspoilt environment.
Nearby, you can discover the wide-open spaces, fauna and flora of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne and the Grand Site National du Puy Mary. The region is ideal for outdoor activities: hiking (GR400, GR4, Puy Violent, Puy Chavaroche...), fishing (the Maronne and Bertrande rivers nearby), Nordic activities at the Col de Légal station (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing...) and mountain biking. You can also discover the wealth of the region's built heritage by visiting the villages of Salers and Tournemire, classified as the Most Beautiful Villages in France, and the castles of St Chamant, Anjony and La Trémolière. The owners will also open the doors of their farm to you, so you can take part in milking the cows and making the cheese.
The gîte has 1700m² of semi-enclosed grounds with garden furniture, barbecue and deckchairs. First floor: living room with fireplace (free wood) and flat-screen TV, fitted kitchenette. On 1st floor, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 closed sleeping area with 1 single bed (beds made on arrival), 1 bathroom with toilet (towels provided).
