Nestled in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne and 4 km from Salers, this former barn, fully renovated in 2019, has been awarded the Fishing gîte label and is Ecogests and Biodiversity qualified, welcoming you to a calm, unspoilt and verdant environment.
Situated in the heart of the Maronne valley, this region is ideal for Hiking (GR400, PR, Puy Violent, Grand Site National du Puy Mary), Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at the Col de Légal or Le Falgoux, and Fishing (the Maronne river is 100 m from the gîte). You can also visit the villages of Salers and Tournemire, classified as the Most Beautiful Villages in France, and the châteaux of Trémolière, Anjony and Auzers.
This Holiday cottage has semi-enclosed grounds and a terrace with garden furniture, deckchairs and barbecue. Fitted kitchenette (Senseo pod coffee maker available), living room with wood-burning stove (free wood), flat-screen TV, DVD player and Internet access, 1 bedroom with 1 x 160x200 bed, 1 bedroom with 2 x 90cm beds, shower room, separate toilet. Beds made on arrival and bathroom linen provided. Heating with wood-burning stove and recent electric convectors (wood included and electricity according to consumption). Holiday cottage can be heated exclusively with wood. All-inclusive rates in high and very high seasons.
For a two-week stay, the second week is 10% off.
Grocery, bakery, butcher and restaurants in Salers 4km away. Grocery store in Fontanges 6km. Shops in Saint-Martin-Valmeroux 10 km.

Un nouveau séjour de 15 jours au cœur d'une région magnifique, avec un début d'octobre incroyable (soleil quotidien) . L'accueil d'Elise est toujours aussi sympathique, passionnée elle partagera avec vous l'amour de son "pays" et vous aurez à loisir une foule d'informations à votre disposition. Soyez curieux, cela vaut la peine. N'hésitez pas à profiter du miel de ses abeilles...

Rien à dire à part féliciter Elise dont le travail est exceptionnel, une grande réussite. Ce gîte est très agréable, il y a tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin, et surtout il permet de faire vivre un vieux bien familial très bien ré-aménagé et entretenu. Les conseils et l'accueil sont de très grande qualité et répondent à nos besoins avec des recommandations ciblées et choisis, donc on peut suivre et faire confiance (par exemple pour le fromage, la charcuterie, etc.), Elise connait bien la région.

endroit calme et reposant en découvrant de belles vaches salers a nos cotés ainsi que les voisins très agréable je vous conseille d'aller a la ferme a fontanges il ya du bon fromage comme le clédard qui est excellent.

We enjoyed a wonderful fortnight in this lovely property set in beautiful surroundings.
La grange du Milou has been renovated to a high standard and was equipped with everything we needed. It was the perfect quiet retreat to return to after a day of walking, cycling or sight seeing.
Elise was charming and very welcoming giving us plenty of suggestions of things to do in the area.
We particularly enjoyed using the local walking routes.
Can thoroughly recommend the night market in St. Paul de Salers- Cleanliness
