Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, this fully renovated former high-altitude barn welcomes you to a secluded and exceptional site at 1300 meters altitude, in the middle of the mountain pastures. Offering a 360° panoramic view, this accommodation is ideal for Hiking enthusiasts or those seeking to relax and recharge their batteries in a peaceful setting. Access via a 600-meter gravelled carriageway.
The surrounding area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including Hiking from the Holiday cottage and through the Cantal mountains, and visits to the villages of Salers and Tournemire, classified among the Most Beautiful Villages in France. In winter, you can enjoy Nordic activities such as snowshoeing, Cross-country skiing and dog sledding at Le Falgoux and Col de Légal.
There's a private, unenclosed outdoor space of around 600m² in the middle of the estives, where you can keep a few Salers cows. You can enjoy the view from the south-facing terrace, equipped with garden table and parasol. Car parking next to the Holiday cottage.
First floor: living room with open-plan kitchenette, wood-burning stove (over 1/2 m3 supplied free of charge, €70/m3), two bedrooms with 1 x 160x200 bed, shower room, separate toilet, laundry room with washing machine.
On the 1st floor, two bedrooms with 2 beds 90x200 that can be twinned into 180x200, a shower room, separate wc. Electric heating according to consumption (underfloor heating on first floor and convector heaters upstairs). No telephone network inside the Holiday cottage. Water supply from a private spring. In winter, depending on weather conditions, access is by foot only, with car parking at the bottom of the path. Linen and cleaning service available on request at extra cost.
