Situated in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne and just 3 km from the medieval town of Murat, this single-storey Holiday cottage with independent entrance on the first floor of the owner's 1870 house welcomes you to a peaceful setting.
This region is ideal for a wide range of activities: winter sports at the Super-Lioran and Prat de Bouc resorts, Hiking in the Monts du Cantal and discovering the Grand Site National du Puy Mary, visiting Salers classified as one of France's Most Beautiful Villages, Chastel rock, Lake du Fishing, Lake Sauvage, Chambeuil waterfall...
300 m² of semi-enclosed grounds with garden furniture, deckchairs and barbecue. Spacious living room with fireplace (free wood burner) and 1 double sofa bed, fully-equipped kitchenette, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 single extra bed, shower room, separate toilet. thierry Un lieu de randonnées sur les hauteurs de Murat
Séjour de deux semaines très agréable dans le Cantal. Nous avons apprécié le calme et la fraicheur du gite pendant la canicule. De nombreuses possibilités de balades à pied au départ du gite ou à moins de 10 km. Nous avons pu également faire des balades en vélo, mais il faut choisir ses itinéraires car la région est quand même bien valonnée. St-Flour et Salers ne sont pas très loin. Nous recommandons le gite pour des personnes recherchant le calme et aimant les randonnées en montagne. La propriétaire dans le logement au dessus (complètement séparé) est discrète et agrèable.
