Situated at the gateway to the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne and close to the Corrèze region, this renovated 1870 character house welcomes you to a pleasant Countryside hamlet, and will seduce you with its calm, open spaces and the cachet of the old with its beautiful parquet floors. Situated close to the owners' farm, it is an ideal place to gather with family or friends in peaceful surroundings.
Between the Pays de Salers and the Enchanet dam, this region is ideal for lovers of outdoor activities: Hiking in the Monts du Cantal, at the Grand Site National du Puy Mary, at Puy Violent or in the Dordogne valley, Fishing in the Maronne and at Lake Enchanet, Swimming and water sports on the beaches of Longayroux and at the Auriac Lake, not forgetting the discovery of the Salins waterfall.
In terms of heritage, you can visit the Petites Cités de Caractère of Pleaux and Laroquebrou, the villages of Salers and Tournemire classified among the Most Beautiful Villages in France, as well as the Jardins de Sothys, the Ferme du Moyen Âge de Xaintrie and the famous Tours de Merle. At the front of the house, you'll find a private parking area and a 150 m² enclosed courtyard with terrace, garden furniture, barbecue and parasol, ideal for outdoor meals. To the rear, a 200 m² plot is also at your disposal, with deckchairs for relaxing and a compost bin. On the first floor, you'll find a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen with central island and fireplace with wood-burning stove (wood provided free of charge), opening onto a convivial area. A living room with connected TV and a dining area complete this living space. A bedroom with a double bed and a laundry room with washing machine and closed toilet are also located on this level. Upstairs, you'll find a bedroom with a double bed and an area with a baby bed, a bedroom with a double bed extended by an en-suite bedroom with two single beds, and a final bedroom with a double bed and an office area. A bathroom and separate toilet complete the first floor. To make your stay as a family as comfortable as possible, a full range of baby equipment is available: cot, high chair, crockery, potty and changing mat. For your comfort, the Holiday cottage has Electric heating on the first floor and in the bedroom with study, while the other bedrooms upstairs have reversible air-conditioning. Wifi internet access is included. Heating and electricity billed according to consumption. Bathroom linen provided and beds made on arrival, so you can enjoy your stay as soon as you settle in. End-of-stay cleaning is compulsory at a cost of €120. Part of the building has not yet been renovated and is not accessible to holidaymakers.
