The gîte is at the start of a number of hiking trails. From Albepierre, it takes just a few minutes to reach the Col de Prat de Bouc, 5 km away at an altitude of 1400 m, at the foot of the Plomb du Cantal.
You'll also discover the medieval towns of Murat and Saint-Flour, Gustave Eiffel's Garabit viaduct spanning the Grandval dam, Chaudes-Aigues and its 82° water, the Grand Site National du Puy Mary, the Mandailles valley, Salers...
In summer, the flora and fauna of the 1000 ha of forests, the high pastures and the two mountain streams are a real paradise for nature lovers. Murat, just 5 km away, is ideal for shopping, exploring its narrow streets and accessing all amenities.
This 30 m² apartment, renovated in 2019, is in the style of a modern mountain chalet, with its own entrance and adjoining the owners' holiday home. It benefits from a pleasant terrace and a non-adjoining enclosed garden with garden furniture and deckchairs. There's also storage space for bikes and motorcycles.
On the first level, you'll find a living room with flat-screen TV, Bluetooth speaker and hi-fi system, a fitted kitchen area with 3-burner induction hob and a shower room with toilet. Upstairs, you'll find 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and closet. The gîte is equipped with free wifi internet access. Electric heating is included. Rates include all utilities.
